UPDATE: HB122 - Remains in the Education Appropriations Committee -- Please contact Chairman Lindsay and other members of the committee and request that this bill be moved forward -- to secure the committment of the legislature on the PACT program.

UPDATE: SB162 was read and discussed in the 2/24/10 Education Appropriations Committee in the House. The committee voted to sub this bill with the similar HB228. Note: SB162 did not contain tuition caps and additional BOD requirements that SB228 contained.
This bill then became HB228 and was voted on as ammended with HB228 on 2/25/10.

UPDATE: SB162 passed in the Senate today. This bill will now move to the House. This bill is similar to HB228 in the funding source - but does not include any limitations. There will be negotiations as to these bills coming and we look for cooperation by the Universities & Colleges, AEA, and Legislature to find the right solution. More information will come...
