The only thing that will solve this problem with funding the PACT program is to contact your Senator, your Representative and the Lt. Governor.  I have been in contact with my Senator, my Representative and the Lt. Governor.  I am going to contact the Governor.  They have less than nine day left in the session.  Valuable time has been wasted in filibusters.  They keep talking about the State Sales Tax on groceries.  This is a dead issue for this year.  It is a good idea to put the supervision of the investments for the PACT under the ARSEA.  They have a good track record on investments.  To fund it with the Education Trust Fund, will not fly.  Paul Hubbard is against it.  Let's face he is one of the most powerful people in AL.  I suggest that they  fund it from the surplus Oil and Gas funds.  Jack Long

I am very concerned about the PACT program.  I am a paid up owner and my grand daughter will start college in May 2009.  I would like to to the legislature do something to help the program.  I am a member of the Silver Haired Legislature.  I Jim Folsom, while at the State House on October 29, 2009.  Jack Long
