We need to protect the educations of our children ---that we paid for and the State of Alabama promised.... Several of the forum posts have referred the fact that there is enough money currently in PACT to fund contracts until 2014. Like everyone else who has PACT contracts, I hope to see ALL contracts honored in full by whatever miracle solution possible. However, should there be no viable solution that can honor all existing contracts, surely those who hold contracts that will be completed by 2014 aren't counting on the money being there if the bottom drops out and many more contracts (which would not be activated until after 2014) are "cashed out" , albeit at a level of immensely reduced value. How can it be said that contracts "will" be viable until 2014?
