Topic: Where is Gov. Bob Riley on PACT?

We have had great support from the Lt. Gov's office but strange to me, where has Gov. Bob Riley weighed in? Haven't heard anything from him that I can find since the PACT board meeting on March 24, 2009.

Can anyone find Gov. Riley for us?

Excellent, but he may have been without food and water for a few days...he sounds a little delerious and weak....did I hear talk of any definitive action he wants to take....sounded more like a review of what we already know than an interview on March 30, 2009...

In my opinion, he needs some intensive care from SaveAlabamaPACT.com supporters via an IV pump full of emails to his office in Montgomery requesting a statement on his immediate action plan for PACT.

When this whole issue first broke, I emailed Riley.  I received a letter back saying essentially "Kay Ivey's problem - not mine."  He is going to sit this one out.

I wrote Governor Riley several months ago.  The reply I received as basically political double-speak.  He understood my concern and would call the legislature back into session when he was assured they had an agreement on a support from for PACT.  He did state that he believed the State of Alabama had a obligation to honor PACT contracts.

Note that Governor Riley was responding to a carbon-copy of a letter addressed to Ms. Ivey.  The letter addressed to Ms. Ivey was also copied to Troy King.  Governor Riley was the only person that responded to the letter.
